Increasingly Cursed Wordle Puzzles takes the familiar five-letter grid and quietly changes the contract. New tile colors arrive without a rulebook, so each answer is also an experiment: part vocabulary test, part hunt for the logic hiding behind the paint.

What is Increasingly Cursed Wordle Puzzles?

Koo_koo designed the original paper puzzle set; icely turned it into this interactive browser edition and added many interface improvements. The central joke is also the serious puzzle idea: Wordle's feedback system is normally fixed and instantly understood, but here the palette keeps mutating. You enter words, compare how letters are colored, and work backward toward both the answer and the rule producing the clues. The original set lists 40 puzzles, with the later sections pushing further into Lingo-like rule discovery rather than ordinary daily-word tactics.

What you can do there

  • Enter words and inspect unfamiliar color feedback
  • Infer what each added tile color means
  • Apply discovered rules across a sequence of puzzles

Why we picked it

It finds fresh territory inside one of the web's most copied puzzle formats by making the feedback itself uncertain. That twist turns every colored square from a verdict into evidence. The result can be gleefully unreasonable, but its best reveals deliver the rare pleasure of understanding a language moments after it looked like decorative nonsense.

How to get the most from it

Start by treating each guess as a controlled test, not just a hunt for the answer. Compare repeated letters, positions, and color combinations, and write down a tentative meaning before the next grid changes the rules again. Avoid the comments until you want hints; they contain discussion of later sections and encoded spoilers.

Good to know

This is a free-to-run HTML5 puzzle with an optional support button. The original page warns that its word coverage is bounded by specific English dictionaries, so obscure strings may not behave as expected. Difficulty rises sharply: several commenters call the third section underclued, and icely acknowledges that reaction. Color accessibility, mobile behavior, persistence, and the current DLC scope are not documented.
