Loop Me is a browser-based generative art toy that turns layered motion, colour, and procedural curves into short seamless loops. Randomize for instant visual weather, then refine the layers or bottle the result in a shareable URL. A prominent photosensitivity warning is part of the front door, not fine print.
What is Loop Me?
The pleasure here is the gap between slot machine and workbench. A random composition gives you something lively immediately, but the controls go much deeper: up to five layers can be hidden, duplicated, rerolled, recoloured, blended, and assigned different motion curves. Loop length can be five, fifteen, or thirty seconds, and the portrait canvas is shaped for phone-sized video. Creations do not need an account or upload step. The composition rides inside its URL, while a personal gallery stays in the current browser. If the export feature works in your browser, one complete loop can also leave as a 1080-by-1920 video.
What you can do there
- Randomize a looping composition
- Adjust layers, colours, motion, and duration
- Share a composition in its URL
- Save a loop locally or export a video
Why we picked it
Loop Me treats procedural art as something to play with instead of something to configure before it becomes fun. Randomize gets the pixels dancing; the layer editor supplies enough levers to make the accident feel authored. Encoding the full piece in a link is an especially neat trick: sharing the art does not require a public account, a hosted gallery, or an upload queue.
How to get the most from it
Read the motion warning first. If animated high-contrast imagery is safe for you, start with Randomize and keep the compositions that produce an interesting rhythm. Change one layer at a time, try a different colour scheme, and switch among the five-, fifteen-, and thirty-second durations. Copy the link before making a large change, or save the loop to the local gallery so you have a way back.
Good to know
This is a motion-heavy canvas toy with explicit warnings for flashing, strobing, and rapid high-contrast animation. A reduced-motion setting is designed to enter on a paused still frame, but sensitive visitors should still be cautious. Gallery items stay on the current device unless exported, and very long share links may be clipped by some chat apps. Video export depends on browser support.
