Mineski compresses an arcade score chase into one wonderfully dubious watersport: steer with the mouse, keep the skier clear, and let the tow wire slap mines for points. Runs are brief, the rule is immediate, and greed is practically part of the control scheme.
What is Mineski?
A boat, a skier, and an aquatic minefield should not make a sensible sporting event, which is exactly why Mineski works as a tiny score attack. Mouse movement handles the route while the dangerous work happens behind you: the tow wire is the scoring tool, so a good run asks you to skim hazards rather than merely flee them. The project came out of a boat-themed Sydney ferry jam in April 2025, and its creator says the build took five hours. That compressed origin shows in the clean premise. It is an endless arcade idea with no campaign detour, available in the browser and as Windows or Linux downloads.
What you can do there
- Steer a water skier with the mouse
- Clip mines with the tow wire to build score
Why we picked it
The risk sits in an unusually good place. Mines are bad for the skier but useful to the rope, turning a familiar avoidance setup into a quick geometry problem. One input and a few minutes are enough to understand the joke, while the score gives reckless perfectionists a reason to circle back.
How to get the most from it
Move the mouse to steer and think about the line trailing behind the skier, not just the safe water ahead. Start with wide passes so the wire brushes a few mines, then tighten the route once you understand the spacing. The page lists a developer score of 359 as an early benchmark.
Good to know
The creator lists Mineski as a released, mouse-only Godot game with high-contrast and textless presentation. Browser, Windows, and Linux versions are available, and a typical session is only a few minutes. Live audio, touch support, keyboard alternatives, motion comfort, and accessibility behavior were not verified.
