Sisyphus is happy shrinks an ancient punishment into a browser-sized game-poem: push the boulder with the right arrow or D, then press space to make its laborer smile. The whole visit can be over in seconds, yet one missing smile frame gives the joke a small, sharp aftertaste.

What is Sisyphus Is Happy?

There is no sprawling skill tree hiding behind this hill. Sisyphus has a boulder, you have two kinds of input, and the summit keeps doing what summits do in this story. The useful twist is the smile button. Happiness becomes something you actively hold beside the labor rather than a reward waiting at the top. When the rock falls, that option disappears; the creator says this began as an unmade frame and stayed because its absence carried more meaning than another drawing would have. It is a compact bit of playable philosophy with the timing of a visual gag.

What you can do there

  • Push Sisyphus's boulder with the right arrow or D key
  • Press space to make Sisyphus smile

Why we picked it

Most tiny browser games ask how much action can fit into a few seconds. This one asks how much interpretation can fit there instead. The push-and-smile pairing is immediately legible, while the unavailable smile during the fall turns a one-note joke into a slightly uneasy observation about performed contentment. It is handmade, specific, and finished before the boulder has time to file a workplace complaint.

How to get the most from it

Click Run uphill, then use the right arrow or D key to push. Tap space when you want Sisyphus to smile and watch what changes as the boulder reaches the part of its commute everyone remembers. A replay takes almost no time, so try the smile at different moments.

Good to know

The game is free, single-player, keyboard-controlled, and intentionally tiny; its page estimates only a few seconds. Touch and remapped controls are undocumented, and audio, accessibility, privacy, and reduced-motion behavior were not verified. Site Stumble cannot frame the page because its policy limits embedding to itch.io, so open it directly.
