The Tower Of Infinite Pottery

Climb a strange little tower where every floor treats pottery as serious business.

The Tower Of Infinite Pottery is a compact browser oddity about climbing, talking, inspecting ceramics, and trying not to drop the merchandise. Its tiny control scheme doubles up actions and leaves some of the rules deliberately murky, giving the whole tower the air of a suspiciously vertical antiques market.

What is The Tower Of Infinite Pottery?

A week-long pottery prompt becomes a whole miniature economy here. The project page offers two goals with equal sincerity: escape the tower, or simply stay awhile and admire the pots. Direction keys handle conversations, inspections, and lifting ceramics; Space is reserved for jumping. That overlap is part of the game's prickly character, though the developer has also acknowledged that the mapping can be unclear. The result is less a polished platformer than a compact place to poke at, where ceramics are scenery, cargo, conversation pieces, and apparently the backbone of commerce.

What you can do there

  • Climb through a pottery-filled tower
  • Talk to characters and inspect pots
  • Pick up and carry ceramics

Why we picked it

Most games treat pots as breakable background clutter. This one promotes them to the entire premise, then builds a tower, a trading joke, and an intentionally awkward set of social and physical interactions around them. The commitment to the bit is the attraction.

How to get the most from it

Use Up or W to talk and inspect, Down or S to lift or set down pottery, and Space to jump. Give the opening tutorial a patient minute: the actions overlap, ladder movement can complicate the mapping, and the creator has acknowledged that the pickup lesson was once buggy.

Good to know

It is a free-to-run HTML5 project with an optional support button, made in Godot for a March 2022 game-a-week event. The live build, current tutorial fixes, audio, save behavior, mobile support, and accessibility options were not confirmed, so approach it as a small experimental jam piece.

Who made it, and when?
